Michael Bonin is an American politician who has served as a member of the Los Angeles City Council for the 11th district since July 1, 2013. A progressive member of the Democratic Party, he used to work as a reporter and on the council staff.

Sean Arian is the founder and president of Eos Consulting and Vice President for Innovation and Emerging Technologies at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
Sean worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm before he joined the Mayor’s Office. Sean was born and raised in Los Angeles. He has a J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley. Sean was a Fulbright scholar in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he worked to strengthen the rule of law. He was also a Japan Foundation fellow in Yokohama, Japan, where he worked on a similar project.

Sean Arian is not too much active on social media platforms. He has an Instagram account under the handle @seanarian2 and got only 113 followers as of now. He rarely posts any pictures.

Bonin and Arian met at City Hall in 2009. At the time, Arian worked for Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as his Director of Economic Development. At the time, Bonin was Bill Rosendahl’s chief of staff and a Courage Campaign activist for same-sex marriage.
They got married at Point Fermin Park in a ceremony led by Mayor Eric Garcetti.
The happy wedding was held in the neighborhood where Arian grew up. Several bands from Venice, which Bonin represents, played art and music at the event. The couple wanted their wedding to be green and high-tech. Instead of paper invitations, they used a wedding app, and the sound system was run by solar power. With a giant Jenga set, interactive art, and bouncy houses for both kids and adults, the reception felt like a carnival.
On July 21, the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary. Mike posted a photo of the two of them on Instagram and captioned it, “Celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary this week!!! So blessed to have fallen in love, married, and built a life with a guy who’s my superhero. @seanarian2“
Nury Martinez Exposed For Racist Comments About Mike Bonin’s Son
A recording of some Democrats on the Los Angeles City Council making racist comments about a colleague’s black child got out, a report said Sunday. The Los Angeles Times reported that the recording showed Council President Nury Martinez calling her colleague Mike Bonin’s black son “ese changito,” which means “that little monkey” in Spanish. The Post has not looked at the recording.
Martinez, who is Latina, also said that Bonin, who is white, was raising his baby “like a little white kid.”

“I thought, This kid needs to be beaten up. “Let me take him around the corner, and I’ll bring him back,” said the head of the city council. The report says that she also called the child “su negrito,” which is a derogatory term for a black person in Spanish.
During the conversation, which lasted about an hour, she called Bonin, who is also a Democrat, “that little bitch,” according to the Times.
Mike Bonin posted a statement on his Instagram regarding this ugly news against Nury Martinez, Kevin de Leon, Gil Cedillo, and Ron Herrera. Both Mike and Sean are angry and disappointed by this and asked the city council to remove Nury as Council President immediately.
