Zachary William Taylor is the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League. He started out in the NFL as an offensive assistant. Zac Taylor’s wife, Sarah Sherman Taylor is the daughter of Mike Sherman, who is the head coach. Mike was the Green Bay Packers head coach for six seasons (2000-2005). During that time, he had a record of 57-39. When his daughter started dating Zac Taylor, he was the top offensive assistant for the Houston Texans.
Taylor talked about how nervous he was when he met the former head coach of the Packers: “The first time I met him, he was upstairs in his house. He has the set for his XOS coaches’ film there. I felt as scared as could be. I thought I could impress him by going to a movie with him. He runs back and forth between a simple play and asks, “What’s your landmark at Nebraska on this play?”
“Oh, same as you [at Green Bay and Houston], the inside edge of the field numbers,” I tell him. At that point, I was scared. And he says, “But aren’t your college field numbers a little bigger?” I realized at that moment that I had no idea what I was talking about. I didn’t say another thing for 20 minutes.”

How Did Zac Meet His Wife Sarah?
Zac Taylor and Sarah Sherman met at the University of Nebraska, where Taylor was the quarterback and Sherman helped the football team as a graduate assistant. In an interview with Sports Illustrated in December 2018, Taylor talked about the first time he met Sherman:
“I still remember when I first saw her. We were practicing on Nebraska’s soccer field. At the end of practice, a girl in a yellow dress was there. I thought she was about 30 years old because she looked so much older. I am just 22. As time went on, I found out that we were the same age. I saw her more often, and I thought that maybe I had a chance with her.”
Sherman said, giving her side of the story: “I loved him from the moment I met him. He was the last person at a fan day once. He was the starting quarterback, but he signed everything that every kid brought him. I sort of followed him around until he asked me out. He was lucky.”

Inside Zac And Sarah’s Married Life
Zac Taylor and Sarah Sherman were together for a few years before they got married in 2008. Sarah talked about the ups and downs and how proud she was of her husband Zac Taylor in an interview in January 2022: “There have been some dark times. It’s just hard when someone works so hard, even though I know he’s doing everything right and I knew we’d get there. I just didn’t know how fast we would go, so I’m just really proud of him.”
