Jared Grasso’s Police Interrogation: Body Camera Footage Released
The police in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, have made public the body camera recording in which they questioned Bryant University’s head coach, Jared Grasso, regarding his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on October 1st.
Initially, Grasso told the officer that the vehicle in question belonged to his wife but that he had been driving it on October 1. He claimed that the car had sustained damage while it was parked outside a local restaurant. Grasso mentioned that he was in the process of obtaining surveillance footage from the restaurant to support his claim and that he had been advised by his lawyers not to contact the police.
The officer questioned, “Are you saying your car was hit?” And then Grasso replied, “I don’t know what happened. I came out to my car and this is what it looked like.”
Subsequently, the officer informed Grasso that someone had identified his license plates in connection with a hit-and-run incident on Route 146 South. During the conversation, Grasso also mentioned that he felt like he was being “attacked.”

Grasso asserted that he was not referring to the officer but rather to a situation in North Smithfield when he mentioned feeling targeted. He also disclosed his identity as the basketball coach at Bryant University.
