Lindsay Clancy, a 32-year-old mother from Duxbury, Massachusetts, is facing allegations of strangling her two young children and injuring a third, before attempting to jump out of a window, as stated by Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz.
The Plymouth County District Attorney, Timothy Cruz, identified Cora Clancy, 5, and Dawson Clancy, 3 as the children who were killed, and a 7-month-old boy is hospitalized. The mother, Lindsay Clancy, 32, is suspected of killing her two eldest children and injuring her infant son before attempting to harm herself, according to the press conference held by Cruz.
During a press conference on January 25, 2023, Cruz stated that the police received a 911 call at 6:11 p.m on January 24, 2023, and the caller, who was identified as Patrick Clancy, the husband of Lindsay Clancy, reported that a woman had jumped from a window in a possible suicide attempt. When the first responders arrived, they found and treated Lindsay Clancy at the scene, before transporting her to a nearby hospital, as per Cruz’s statement.
According to Cruz, the duration of time that Clancy’s husband was present in the home is still being investigated by the authorities. He also confirmed that the husband is not currently hospitalized.

Lindsay Clancy, a 32-year-old mother from Duxbury, Massachusetts, is married to a man named Patrick Clancy. According to the Boston Globe, an old engagement announcement said Lindsay Musgrove and Patrick Clancy were married in 2016 in Southington, Connecticut.

Together, they have three children. However, as per the reports, two of their children have been pronounced dead and one of them is injured. The incident happened on January 24, 2023, and the cause of death is believed to be strangulation. Lindsay is suspected of killing her two eldest children.

Lindsay Clancy is a 32-year-old labor and delivery nurse from Massachusetts. She has worked at Massachusetts General Hospital and was previously a nursing assistant at South Shore Hospital. According to the Boston Globe, Clancy spoke openly about her struggles with postpartum anxiety on her Facebook page. She holds a biology degree from Quinnipiac University, which she earned in 2012. Furthermore, she graduated from Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, Connecticut in 2008.
In her high school yearbook, Clancy wrote, “I know it’s not perfect, but it’s life. Life is messy sometimes,”. She further added that “No matter how hard you fight it, you fall. And it’s scary. Except there’s an upside to free falling. It’s the chance you give your friends to catch you.”
Clancy’s Facebook profile featured frequent posts of happy family moments, showcasing her role as a proud mother. Her cover photo is a picture of the two oldest children holding the infant.

Rita Musgrove, the great-grandmother of the children, told NBC Boston that she had spoken with their mother at the home a week ago and nothing seemed unusual. She expressed shock and heartbreak over the incident.
Timothy Cruz stated that autopsies will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death and the results will be made available to the public when death certificates are issued.
