The investment and consulting firm Guggenheim Partners said on Thursday that Scott Minerd, the global chief investment officer, had died on Wednesday 21 December 2022 after having a heart attack. The company said in a statement that Minerd had a heart attack during his regular workout. Minerd, who was 63 at the time, worked for Guggenheim for 25 years. During that time, he became an expert on the financial markets and was often quoted by the media. At Guggenheim, he was also the managing partner.
