Todd and Julie Chrisley, the stars of the hit reality show Chrisley Knows Best on USA Network, have been sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison.
Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in prison and 16 months of probation, and his wife Julie was sentenced to 7 years in prison and 16 months of probation.
Their accountant, Peter Tarantino, was sentenced to three years in prison this morning after being found guilty of filing two false corporate tax returns on behalf of the Chrisleys’ company. He will start his sentence in May 2023 after he has healed from hip surgery.
Todd Chrisley received a lighter sentence than expected, with guidelines suggesting he could receive up to 22 years in prison, and his wife Julie Chrisley could have gotten around 12 and a half years after being found guilty in June of conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans, and also a number of tax crimes, including conspiracy to defraud the IRS and tax evasion, while Julie Chrisley was found to be guilty of wire fraud and obstruction of justice.
Federal prosecutors said that the famous couple, whose show got picked up by USA Network in 2013 and made them famous, changed their financial records to make it look like they were wealthier than they really were so they could get loans for more than $30 million.
But it may be even worse for the two, who were the stars of a popular USA Network show, that their many unscripted shows aren’t any longer on the air.

Even though NBCUniversal hasn’t said anything officially, Deadline has heard that the nine-season show Chrisley Knows Best, which mostly followed real estate “tycoon” Todd Chrisley, his wife Julie, and their family, has been canceled, as has the spin-off Growing Up Chrisley, which followed Chase and Savannah as they become adults away from Todd and Julie.
