Todd Downing is an offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League. He was born on July 22, 1980. Todd has worked as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Vikings, the Buffalo Bills, the Detroit Lions, and the St. Louis Rams. He was also the offensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders.
Todd Downing was arrested for DUI a few hours after their victory over the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night. He was taken into custody early Friday morning by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The offensive coordinator was given tickets for driving under the influence and speeding, and he was booked into the Williamson County jail at exactly 4:30 a.m. Downing was let out of jail around 7 a.m. Friday.

According to the arrest report, an officer pulled Downing over because his car was going faster than usual. Also, Downing’s car reportedly smelled like alcohol. The Titans’ team plane left Green Bay just after midnight Central Time and arrived back in Nashville at 2:00 am. At about 2:30 a.m., the Tennessee Highway Patrol stopped Downing.

Who Is Todd Downing’s Wife?

Know About Todd Downing’s Coaching Career
Downing got his first job as a coach and was the offensive coach for the 9th grade B team at Eden Prairie High School. In 2000, his high school team, the Eagles, beat Matt Birk’s Cretin Durham Hall Raiders to win the Class 5A state title.

Chad Ostlund gave him a Research and Development internship with the Minnesota Vikings in 2001. He then worked as a Public Relations intern in 2002, as a football systems analyst from 2003 to 2004, and as an offensive quality control coach in 2005.
In 2006, the St. Louis Rams hired Downing as a defensive assistant and assistant coach for special teams.
Downing joined Scott Linehan on the Detroit Lions in 2009 as an offensive quality control coach. In 2010, he was the assistant quarterback coach. From 2011 to 2013, he was the quarterback’s coach.
Downing was the quarterback coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2014. In 2015, the Oakland Raiders hired Downing as their quarterback’s coach, working under head coach Jack Del Rio. Downing was fired on January 1, 2018, along with head coach Jack Del Rio and the rest of Del Rio’s staff. This was because the offense went from being 12–4 to 6–10, which was a big drop.
Downing was made offensive coordinator on January 29, 2021. He replaced Arthur Smith, who left to become the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.
